Two new models of Bobcat compact wheel loaders for the agriculture and construction industries are hitting the market, the 55 horsepower L65 and the 68 horsepower L85.
“Compact wheel loaders are an essential machine on many different jobsites and are remarkably nimble in tight spaces where power shouldn’t be sacrificed for maneuverability,” said Kelly Humble, senior marketing manager, product planning at Doosan Bobcat North America.
Like other machines Bobcat offers, the new compact wheel loaders are compatible with several tools to complete a wide variety of tasks around the farm. Buckets and pallet forks are popular attachments, but Bobcat offers several other options to extend the usefulness of these machines. Farmers with other Bobcat equipment will appreciate the Bob-Tach System that allows sharing of select attachments across the fleet.
These compact wheel loaders have a heavy lifting capacity and high lift height especially designed for lift-and-carry tasks in tight spaces. Standard bucket capacities of up to 1-cubic yard allow the operator to move lots of material at once. A bucket level indicator is standard equipment on both machines.
High-flow hydraulics are an option on the L85.
Standard side rear view mirrors and LED work lights increase visibility for the operator.
Both models are powered by a 2.4L Tier 4 Bobcat engine specifically designed for simplified maintenance. This includes a large fuel filter for better system protection, longer filter life, and increased holding capacity. A lift pump and self-priming fuel system enables continuous forced air outflow and eliminated the need for a primer bulb. These machines also have a pre-filter to protect the lift pump from debris and particles that would otherwise cause wear and degrade performance.
The engine does not need a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or selective catalyst reduction (SCR), so there are fewer components to maintain. Farmers won’t have to stop what they’re doing due to DPF regeneration.
Bobcat offers customers a choice between a standard canopy or an optional pressurized cab. The cab was specifically engineered to have low noise levels. An adjustable, seat-mounted joystick makes the machine easy to operate for farmers of all sizes and keeps buttons at the operator’s fingertips.
A 5-inch display lets the operator monitor performance of the machine.
Farmers may choose to order their new compact wheel loader with a rear-view camera for increased visibility or cloth suspension seat and automatic ride control for additional comfort.
List price for a base L65 is $70,679. The L85 starts at $83,812. These machines are built in Dobris, Czech Republic and started to become available on U.S. dealer lots mid-October 2021.
