Industrial and agricultural equipment a hit at Aberdeen and Northern Marts and Thainstone Specialist Auctions' Online Collective Sale last week (Wednesday, July 20)

DEMAND for top-quality used industrial and agricultural equipment was high at an Thainstone auction last week as the top item, a dumper truck, sold to £76,500.

Thainstone Specialist Auctions and Aberdeen & Northern Marts (divisions of ANM Group) held a Live Online Collective Sale at Thainstone Centre on Wednesday, July 20.

The online auction saw 1800 entries with each section attaining strong prices.

A 2009 Volvo A35E 6x6 Dumper reached the overall top price of £76,500 within the tractors, telehandlers and plant category, while a 2010 JCB Fastrac 2170 Tractor achieved £24,500.

The farm machinery and implements section saw a Bailey 16 ton mono grain trailer reach £18,000 and a red Rhino 5000 tracked crusher sold for £15,400 in the small plant and groundcare category.

In the 4x4s and light commercial vehicles section, a 2019 Citroen Berlingo HDi 650 Enterprise sold for £9,500 and a 2014 DAF LF 45-140 4x2 Tipper achieved £7,000 in the heavy commercials category.

"Over 660 bidders joined the sales online from across the UK.

The next Thainstone Online Collective Sale takes place on Wednesday, August 17, and entries will be accepted from Monday, August 8.
